Happy Birthday!!

Yep that’s right. It is our birthday here at After the Final Chapters. It is hard to believe that it is three years ago since I was ‘bullied’ into starting a blog by a most wonderful friend. She also happens to be a pretty damn good author too and you should totally check her out! So Carmel Harrington I thank you!

I am also very lucky to have had the pleasure of  M joining me along for the ride. I have been busy in college this past year so most of what you have seen has been from so thank you and I send you much love xxx

I have had wonderful support right from the very beginning from some of my favourite authors, not least Lauren Blakely ,  Lexi Ryan, Sawyer Bennet and Elizabeth Reyes . Publishing houses including Haper Collins, Penguin Ireland and Random House have also playes a big part in our existence.

The readers and followers are amazing!

Now I just sound like I am practicing my Oscars acceptance speech … I would also like to thank…

Really though… it’s been three years and there is noway i can individually thank everyone. I thank you all. We will be running a giveaway event in March so sit tight while we work all that out!

Gypsy Lover by Edith Layton

I was able to read Gypsy Lover by Edith Layton on Playster.com.
Playster was easy to access and navigate through. The hardest part was choosing a story to read, due to Playster has an exceptional library of books to access. However, I finally settled on a new author (not new to the book world, but new to me) that I have never read before and found on Playster.

The story immediately comes alive from page one when Daffyd is summon. The way the author introduces him gives the reader a more inside look to whom the character is. Brilliant!
As the pages turn we are introduced to Meg Shaw. Some of Meg’s adventures have me shaking my head and cringing while mouthing the word “no.” I do get tired of the stuff that occurs from Meg. Are these scenes realistic for this period of time. Maybe. I will let you determine that as a reader.
I did enjoy how this wasn’t about trying to obtain a title. You know how the usual historical romance stories go. This story give a little more insight about the gypsy world. More of your middle class and lower class characters trying to make it in a time period overly ran with title people. It was a nice change a pace. But don’t get me wrong I still dream of Dukes and Earl’s.
The author does not lack in telling a story. Her words flow beautifully from page to page, in which you have no problem following along in the story. You can easily picture the world the author builds for the readers.
I look forward to reading many more books by Edith Layton. I give this book five stars.

DEEP by Jaine Diamond

5 stars

FIVE STAR REVIEW

The first song that comes on as I sit here getting ready to write this review was Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You. Yes, originally sang by Dolly.

As the song plays it kind of goes hand and hand with the book Deep by Jaine Diamond.

I feel sad that this story has ended. I wasn’t read to for it to end, but I couldn’t wait to get to the best parts either.

Deep Cover

I have read a lot of books lately and the writing styles compared to this book is nothing but amateurs. Jaine Diamond shines bright like a diamond. Her words pull you from page one. The flow, content, descriptions and how detail oriented this author is, is mind blowing amazing. Very few possess this wonderful gift. Each character is built perfectly and stays in play in the whole story without missing a beat. You don’t feel yourself wondering who is who. I love how Jaine Diamond keeps Lana, Lana. She addresses the issues that Lana must over come and each other character perfectly flawlessly.

Deep 1 teaser

However, this is not even my main point of the book, Deep is erotic romance and Jaine Diamond holds true to fulfilling the erotica part and romance. As Lana discovers her sexual needs and frustrations, I felt the same. There were times I was like whoa! Or fuck me, is it getting to hot in here.

Deep Teaser 3

The best part of this book is it’s not always sex, sex, sex. There is a PLOT! An actual storyline with mixed emotions that make you gasp and blush and want Catch the hot sexy CO. Hell, I would have taken any CO if I was there.

Deep Teaser 4

Ok, I have gone all over the place with this review. Time to wrap it up. I LOVED the book DEEP by Jaine Diamond. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE who loves romance erotica. This book beat many books out there. I have very few on my top 10 list and this book is going on that list.

Deep Teaser 2

Thank you Jaine Diamond for the opportunity to read DEEP.
