What I thought
I love Meagan Brandy. Her first two books were amazing. I really couldn’t believe she was a debut author. I mean come on! They both evoked all the feels. I’m usually so nervous about reading a debut book but I’m so glad I talked myself into it. Now I’m a book whore for two things; 1 Sports romance (how I found her to begin with ) and 2 a series. I won’t lie. I was all kinds of gutted when I found out MB’s new book was neither of these things. I can find it really hard at the moment to get into a book that’s not sports related but because I loved her other books so much I owed to to get and myself to give it a go.
Oh my God, your God and all the other Gods. It’s was absolutely fantastic. It made me laugh, made me cry and made me laugh out loud. The characters were interesting and well developed. There was plenty of drama but it’d that kind of book that it was required. It was so well written I wasn’t saying enough already, something I’ve abandoned books for lately. A lovely thread of suspense running the whole way through that will keep you guessing. A great side plot that had me messaging MB saying …….. But don’t tell me. I’m surprised she didn’t block me!
I’m just sorry this is a standalone. There is definitely at least one more character that is crying out for his story to be told… Just sayin like

I glance to his abs, and they stare back at me, mocking my inability to touch them.
But do I want to touch …
I take two steps closer, and Alec laughs, instantly pulling me from my haze. My eyes rise to meet his.
“Guess I finally got my answer.”
“What answer?”
“From this morning. If he fucked you good, if he was even capable of it, your body wouldn’t be begging for me.” He licks his lips, slightly tilting his head. “Or maybe it would …”
“What exactly do you think I’m begging for?” I ask, half-hoping he enlightens me, half-hoping he walks away, and not sure either is right.
“More than you’re ready for, but, Oakley”—he walks the rest of the way to me, bringing his heated body a mere inch from mine—“get ready,” he warns.
I swallow, licking my lips. God, this guy makes me nervous. “For?”
Dark, dangerous green eyes command mine.
“Get ready for what?” I try again, my words blowing across his lips; they’re so close.
Too close.
“For me, Oakley,” he whispers, those eyes of his skimming over every inch of my face before coming back to mine. “It’s time.”
