Gypsy Lover by Edith Layton

The first song that comes on as I sit here getting ready to write this review was Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You. Yes, originally sang by Dolly.
As the song plays it kind of goes hand and hand with the book Deep by Jaine Diamond.
I feel sad that this story has ended. I wasn’t read to for it to end, but I couldn’t wait to get to the best parts either.

I have read a lot of books lately and the writing styles compared to this book is nothing but amateurs. Jaine Diamond shines bright like a diamond. Her words pull you from page one. The flow, content, descriptions and how detail oriented this author is, is mind blowing amazing. Very few possess this wonderful gift. Each character is built perfectly and stays in play in the whole story without missing a beat. You don’t feel yourself wondering who is who. I love how Jaine Diamond keeps Lana, Lana. She addresses the issues that Lana must over come and each other character perfectly flawlessly.

However, this is not even my main point of the book, Deep is erotic romance and Jaine Diamond holds true to fulfilling the erotica part and romance. As Lana discovers her sexual needs and frustrations, I felt the same. There were times I was like whoa! Or fuck me, is it getting to hot in here.

The best part of this book is it’s not always sex, sex, sex. There is a PLOT! An actual storyline with mixed emotions that make you gasp and blush and want Catch the hot sexy CO. Hell, I would have taken any CO if I was there.

Ok, I have gone all over the place with this review. Time to wrap it up. I LOVED the book DEEP by Jaine Diamond. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE who loves romance erotica. This book beat many books out there. I have very few on my top 10 list and this book is going on that list.

Thank you Jaine Diamond for the opportunity to read DEEP.

What it’s about
Control.
It’s what Ryan Sloan values most. Control of his business, control of his secrets, control of his days and nights. With the way his life spiraled in the past, he needs to stay in charge of his present.
Giving up control.
It’s what Sophie Winston craves. After a wildly successful career, she’s stepped away from the business world and is now focused on her work as her city’s most noted philanthropist.
When she meets Ryan Sloan, the chemistry is scorching, and utterly undeniable. Their desire for each other runs red hot. He wants everything she’s willing to give him in bed, and she wants him to take her to new heights as only he can.
Soon, he has to have more. All of her — heart, mind and body.
The only trouble is, he hasn’t been honest about how he met her and the dangerous connection he has to her brother.
When the truth is revealed, he’ll have to give more of himself than he’s bargained for or risk losing the only woman he’s ever let into his heart.
What I say
Ok so it is no big secret. Lauren Blakely is my all time favourite author. However even I get nervous when my favourite authors write a new book. There a quite a few of them that have released a book and I have thought well damn thats not one of their best. I hate when that day comes because it makes me feel guilty. So with baited breath I began to read Sinful Desire and there I was hooked within the first couple of pages and all my worries were unfounded.
Anyone that reads a Lauren Blakely book knows that her heroines are sexy as sin and often feisty and her men are quite simply hot as fuck. Usually to be fair I am way more interested in the men than I am in the women. This time though it was the Sophie that jumped out of the pages at me.
She is, in my opinion, by far the sexiest Blakely chick so far. Thats no mean feat let me tell you, she has some serious competition. And Ryan. Well the competiton for the hottest Blakely man is just so intense I do believe I feel like I am cheating on someone if I dare to pick a favourite.
Lauren’s books seem to sizzle more and more with each one. Even the covers, have you seen the cover of this one , that alone would melt the panties right off you. I love her characters. There are no overly needy whiney women thank the lord cos i’m telling you – that shit gets old real fast. Sophie, like the other Blakely women, is a strong character. She is extremely smart, successful and knows her own mind, she is sweet but man she is feisty. She takes no prisoners and makes no apologies for it. And Ryan, well he is everything you would expect in a Blakely boy. Strong, self assured, alpha, loving and doesn’t do anything half hearted. He is a good guy, but his past haunts him more than just a bit. Then of course there are all sorts of complications when he hides his ‘relationship’ of sorts with Sophie’s brother John. That is sure to stir up all kinds of trouble.
Don’t forget there is a continuing storyline here, and there will be for a few books more. A few more crumbs to follow, stones unturned and secrets revealed. Also more questions to be asked with everyone that is answered. There is a wonderful suspense running through a beautiful if not perfect love story.
So basically, it is intriguing, funny, sexy and seriously fuck hot.

BAM! Audrey Carlan hits another home run out of the ballpark!
Mia learns something new about herself in this next book April. Not only does Mia find herself a little more, but she helps others find themselves.
I wish I could say more about the story I just ready, but there is so much going on that I would spoil it for you. So with that said lets get down to business.
Have you read January, February and March?
Yes (then you know how wonderful the series is and you are an addict like me).
or
No (ok, I am going to help you pick your next 12 books for the year AND you only have to read 4 to catch up and stay caught up. Yes, I know you will thank me later).
Aaaaah! I can’t wait for May by Audrey Carlan. The teaser has my mind pondering what could take place. However, this author has kept the surprises and momentum going through each book, so whatever I think might happen could be 75%-100% wrong. Yep, she’s that good.
Enough said. I need MAY!
Thank you all for taking your time to read my very short review.

Excerpt
To say I’m nervous is an understatement. I’ve slept with supermodels, actresses, and debutants with too much money, but for some reason, the thought of finally getting naked with Holly has me shaking in my black boots.
I stare straight into her beautiful face. Her eyes are dilated and her breathing is still labored from the kiss. I don’t want to just rush her back to her bedroom, but I’m damn close to giving in to the craving. And that’s what she is. She’s a craving. She’s a drug. She’s my hit.
I touch the soft skin of her cheek, caressing it while I gaze into her eyes. “I want to take you to your room right now, Holly. I want to shut that door, lock us away from the world, and do all of the things I’ve been fantasizing about for a month. If that’s not what you want, tell me now. I’ll kiss you goodnight right here in the living room and go to sleep on the couch. I’ll get up in the morning and we can continue to get to know each other via phone and text. If you don’t want to take this to the next step, I’m okay with that. It won’t scare me away or make me run. I just -” I get cut off as Holly’s sweet lips press firmly against mine.
“I want to go to my bedroom. Right now. With you,” she whispers against my lips.
My blood flares to life as I scoop her up in my arms. She doesn’t have to tell me twice. I want this more than she’ll ever know.
In three strides, I’m rounding the corner and heading into Holly’s bedroom, her body tucked securely in my arms. I don’t stop until I’m lying her down on the bed. Her lips attack mine before I have the chance to pull away.
She licks my lips as my hands dip under her black sweater. One touch of her stomach, the skin all soft and warm, has my blood boiling. My entire body is like a lit fuse, ready to blow. I savor the feel of her skin as I slowly make my way up to her tits. My fingers graze over lace as my mouth continues to consume her. I’m a man possessed.
A moan rips from Holly’s throat as my hand grips her lace-covered tit. My mouth waters at the prospect of tasting them. I tear my mouth away from hers and stare down at her. Her hair is fanned out on the top of her comforter and her eyes are dilated so that I can’t even tell their color. Her breathing is coming out in quick little pants.
I look down, squatting next to her on the bed. I focus all of my attention on the thin sliver of bare skin peeking out between her sweater and her jeans. I use both hands to slowly slide her sweater up until her marvelous chest is revealed. Holly is wearing a black lace bra and her nipples are strained against the tight, sexy material. My hands twitch and my cock jerks against my zipper.
I can’t fight it any longer. My mouth descends on her a fraction of a second later. Her nipples are hard little nubs as I suck them through the lace and into my mouth. Her moan is like music to my ears. The best kind of music.
Holly’s hands snake into my hair, holding me firmly against her heaving chest. Once I show plenty of attention to the first little pebble, I move on to the other. I squeeze and massage her tits as she withers underneath me. My cock is painfully hard, begging to be released from its denim prison.
Once I’ve showered her chest with plenty of attention, I slowly kiss down her stomach. She sucks in air as I tickle my way down to the button of her jeans. With a quick flick of my fingers, her jeans are unsnapped. I look up one more time to gauge her response as I get ready to remove her pants.
Her eyes are wild and lust filled. Her slightly open mouth is sucking in air like she hasn’t had a full breath in days. I see the trust in her eyes as I rake mine over her beautiful face.
I slowly unzip her jeans and start to remove them. Black lace peeks out at me as I slowly pull down her pants. Torture. That’s what this woman is doing to me, but it’s the best damn torture I’ve ever experienced.
When I finally get the jeans down past her thighs, the picture of Holly wearing black lace boy cut underwear greets me from the bed. The material is snug and wet at the apex of her legs. My mouth goes dry and my heart tries to do a fucking tap dance out of my chest.
Once I get the jeans the rest of the way off, followed by her socks, I return my attention to that little slip of wet material. I slide my hands up her smooth, soft thighs as I slowly separate them. The scent of her arousal assaults me. I’m a drowning man, and she’s my last gulp of air. I need her that much.
My hands find that black lace and slowly begin to stroke her through the material. Her moan is intense and fuels my already burning fire within. I can’t stop myself as I slide the material to the side, exposing her core for the first time. This moment is better than any fantasy I’ve ever had about her. This moment is real. This moment is forever.
I bend down and run my tongue along her seam. She shudders and gasps under my touch. I waste no time as I pull her legs up, bending them at the knees and position myself between them. As I continue to lick and suck at her core, her legs wrap around my neck. Talk about a fucking turn on. I could explode right now in my pants.
I use first one, then a second finger, and explore her. She’s warm and tight as I get to know her body. Her legs tighten around my neck as I bring my tongue back to the pulsing nub at her center. With a few hard flicks of my tongue as I continue to work her over with my fingers, she’s gasping for air and moaning her release. Her entire body is shaking, her insides gripping my fingers in the best way possible.
After her body lays limp and sated on the bedspread, I finally glance back up at her. Her eyes are closed and her lips hold a slight, happy smile. Her arms are extended over her head which causes my body to practically spasm with excitement. I’ve had so many fucking fantasies about tying her up like that.
“I’m not done with you yet,” I tell her as I hover over her.

The author has talent. Every month Audrey Carlan is able to keep me fascinated with Mia. Not only am I an addicted with this series, but I envy Mia just a little. Mia’s aunt has special business that I would sign up and work for. I know, how scandalous.
Can I complain about this book? No. Why? Because this author is very creative with this series and has captivated me as a reader. The words always flow, the scenes move perfectly, the characters are easy to visualize and become part of you.
By now I hope you have read book 1 & 2. Do you need to read those books. YES! You are missing some hot scenes and plus the author will not disappoint.
I look forward to April!
~Michelle~
Watched FSOG last night. WOW… this movie was BORING! I can’t stand how dated some stuff was with Anna. She didn’t live in a cave. The movie felt more like a b or C rated movie. I must have totally made a new book in my head when I read this book.
One important thing that dawn on me when watching the movie, was Anna’s mother. What a BITCH! Your only daughter is graduating from College and you won’t go. It wasn’t she couldn’t, but the mother chose her new 4th husband over her one and only daughter.
WTF! And you wonder why Anna is with a douche bag who gets off by beating her. Because Anna needs to feel excepted by someone. She really didn’t have a father, but a step-dad that would feel in from time to time.
When I first read FSOG, I first did not like the book. It was hard adjusting to the content of the writing style from the author. As I proceeded on because everyone was raving how wonderful the book was. 3/4 of the book I started to get hooked. I never read a BDSM book. This was all new to me. I was dazzled my the money and sex.
Plus the ending wrapped around me and consumed me to read book two to find out how Anna & Christian would get back together. And I kind of think book 2 is the best of EL James.
Book 3 I rushed through… Come on is this almost over? I would ask myself over and over. Stop dragging this on. Was it necessary for book 3. No. I thought EL James could have wrapped everything in book 2.
Ok, enough of this rant. I have found way better BDSM books after this lovely little classic.
~Michelle
THE MEN OF LONDON
From Soho to Norwich, there’s no escaping love.
A TASTE OF FOREVER
An award-winning chef with his own restaurant and an inexhaustible passion, Gideon Kent once had everything. Then came tragedy. It stole more than Gideon’s home. He hasn’t cooked since.
Until Eddie Tripp. Fun-loving and vivacious, the Norfolk redhead’s a real up-and-comer in Gideon’s kitchen—and other places. Slim where Gideon’s broad, easy-going where Gideon is growly, he and Gideon seem polar opposites, and yet Eddie conjures flavors that would tempt anyone with a taste for perfection. The sauce of love is already simmering, and this pair is about to dine on the most delicious dish they’ve ever prepared. Because Eddie’s been Gideon’s missing ingredient all along.
hmmm… Interesting concept the author tried.
Did the author master multiple character personalities for each chapter? No. I caught myself going back and forth checking on who did the chapter belong to.
I get kind of annoyed when things are repetitive. The characters kept repeating their feelings. None of the characters showed their feelings or their characteristics. Don’t tell me your messed up. Show me messed up.
To many main characters in one book. It’s almost like watching the old tv show HEROS. Every five minutes a new scene of someone different.
There is no closure for this book. The cliffhanger does not even pull me into wanting to know what happens next in book two.
Why? Because I did not bond with any character. I developed no feelings for any characters. Felt more like a police report recall scenes and events.
The author dates herself by adding in Meg Ryan hair style reference. Meg Ryan has been out of the public eye for some time now. And then if you did google Meg Ryan because the younger generation would not really know her, what hair style are you referring to?
Ok why three stars?
* Keanu is the only character that stands out as an individual. But the story is not about him? It’s about one two many people.
** Next star I give about trying and being creative with taking on so many main characters in one book. No, I don’t think the author should have published so quickly. Maybe later the author will go back and more characteristics and feelings to each chapter.
*** Third star. The event that ties them all together. That took some major creativity. Very well thought out.
Questions:
Would I buy this? No. I would wait until it is part of a box set for reasonable price, under $3.00. The story is not a real cliffhanger ending. It’s long story with lots of main characters.
Cover appeal? The cover matches only one character, but it’s no just Retro & Birdies story. So you loose their love story in the book. The cover is not attracted at all.
I actually skipped over this book a few times. I had no interest in it, even when I read the blurb.
However, I was asked to do a review. I did not ask what kind of book it was. I had my husband open the chapter for me, because I did not want to see the cover first. When I was finished I checked the cover and then it dawned on me.
Ok, my review sounds mean and ruthless. But there are positives in this review as well.
